Generate, Then Actually Edit

Most "AI 3D" tools hand you a mesh you can't meaningfully change. Draftr is built around two AI workflows that produce editable CAD:

• Full Generate — describe a complete part and Draftr builds it in a multi-pass generation, refining geometry until it matches your prompt.
• Quick Edit — select faces, edges, or a sketch in the viewport and tell Draftr what to change ("add a 6mm through-hole here", "fillet this edge 2mm", "make this wall 3mm thick"). You get a versioned modeling step, not a one-off swap.

How the AI CAD Generator Works

1. Describe the part. State the purpose, rough dimensions in millimetres, and key features — holes, pockets, fillets, mounting points.
2. Draftr generates the model. The AI produces parametric solid geometry rendered live in a face-aware viewport.
3. Refine conversationally. Quick Edit reads your current selection and viewport context, so changes target the exact geometry you mean.
4. Inspect the draft stack. Every operation is a step you can revisit, edit, or reorder — nothing is destructive.
5. Export. Save STEP for CAD interchange, STL for printing, or GLB for visualization.
